About the processing fee
The 15% and 25% processing fees are deducted from the remaining (unused) tuition, not from the total course value. This fee covers costs already incurred once the course has begun:
- Time spent matching and onboarding the tutor
- The diagnostic assessment + a custom personalized roadmap already prepared
- The AP Classroom account, materials, and mock exams already provided
- Parent reports and other reports already compiled
Example: an 18-session course × 1,710K = 30,780,000 VND. If you cancel after 6 sessions (12 unused sessions = 17,100,000 VND), the refund = 17,100,000 × 75% = 12,825,000 VND.
Refund process
- Submit a request by email to admin@times.edu.vn with the subject "Refund request — [Student name]", including the reason and the course contract.
- Confirmation within 2 business days: Gia Sư AP replies to confirm receipt of the request and calculates the estimated refund.
- Agreement within 5 business days: both parties agree on the refund amount in writing (email or contract).
- Transfer within 7–14 business days after agreement: the funds are sent to the payer's bank account.
Note: the refund amounts above apply to cancellations initiated by the student. If learning stops due to an issue on Gia Sư AP's side (a tutor suddenly leaving with no replacement available, a breach of our quality commitment, etc.), 100% of the unused portion is refunded with no processing fee. Frequently asked tuition questions
Does tuition include the official AP exam fee?
No. The AP exam fee ($99 USD per subject in 2026) is collected directly by the College Board when the student registers for the exam. We help students register but do not collect the fee on their behalf.
Can I switch tutors?
Yes. Within the first 4 sessions, students can switch tutors for free if it isn't the right fit — no specific reason needed. After the 4th session, switching is still supported but requires a (free) re-assessment session so the new tutor can get up to speed on the student's progress.
Can I make up a cancelled or missed session?
Yes. Any paid session can be rescheduled for free if the student gives at least 24 hours' notice. With less than 24 hours' notice, the session counts as used (the tutor has already prepared). If the tutor cancels (illness, an emergency), the session is always rescheduled and the student receives an email notice within 2 hours.
What is the "written score-increase guarantee"?
With packages of 18 sessions or more, after the first diagnostic session we provide a written commitment to a minimum AP score based on the student's current level and study time. If the student doesn't reach the committed score after the AP exam, Gia Sư AP refunds 30% of tuition or provides 12 free additional sessions to retake the exam the next year (the student's choice).
Can I pay in USD?
Yes, via Stripe with an international credit card. The exchange rate follows Vietcombank's USD rate at the time of payment.
Do you issue VAT invoices?
Yes. All prices include 10% VAT. An e-invoice is sent within 24 hours of payment.
Are there discounts for siblings or referrals?
Yes. For each successful referral who enrolls in a package of 18 sessions or more, the referring student receives 1 free session (at the tuition rate of their current package). The new student also gets 5% off their first course.
Is there a scholarship program?
We are building a scholarship program for students in special circumstances. Details will be announced in Q3 2026.
