AP Calculus
BC
Equivalent to college Calculus 1+2 in the U.S. — covering all of Calculus AB plus infinite series, parametric equations and polar coordinates. The highest score-5 rate among AP Math subjects (~44.6%) — since BC students are typically the strongest in math.
Before you start, understand how the College Board scores.
AP Calculus BC has a balanced structure between MCQ (45 questions) and FRQ (6 questions) — each section accounts for 50% of the score. The structure mirrors Calculus AB but is harder because of 4 additional units (Series, Parametric, Polar). Understanding the structure helps your child allocate time to the right priorities.
2024 distribution of score 5/5
According to College Board data, up to 34.3% of students worldwide score a 5 in AP Calculus BC — the highest rate among AP Math subjects. Our students typically reach 60-70%+ score-5 thanks to a program drilling all 10 units and 6 FRQs to rubric standard.

Sample question from a recent exam.
A sample question for AP Calculus BC. Try answering it and see the detailed explanation. In the course, students drill 500+ similar questions.
Given the function f(x) = ∑(n=1 to ∞) (x − 2)ⁿ / (n · 3ⁿ). What is the radius of convergence of this power series?
Solution: Apply the Ratio Test for the power series.
Consider L = lim |aₙ₊₁/aₙ| with aₙ = (x−2)ⁿ / (n·3ⁿ).
This gives L = |x−2|/3 · lim n/(n+1) = |x−2|/3.
The series converges when L < 1, i.e., |x−2| < 3 → Radius of convergence R = 3.
→ The correct answer is (C).
